I learnt chess at age twelve and took part in my first tournament about 10 years later. I participated actively for two years and took a break because of my academics and also by that time the number of tournaments in my country had reduced greatly.

Lately from 2009 in particular I have become active again, but due to the dearth of chess tournaments I am mostly active online.
